World Bank Group Timeline
First transportation sector funding for Indonesia approved
Immediately following the renewal of its membership in the World Bank Group in 1967, Indonesia's neglected transport system was a primary focus for both government and Bank Group officials. The funding for Highway Project (01), an IDA credit for $28 million, aims to both repair about 3,000 km of roads and provide managerial and planning assistance for ongoing work in the sector.
