World Bank Group annual commitments exceed $10 billion
World Bank Group commitments for fiscal year 1979 increased nearly $1.7 billion over the previous year and topped $10 billion for the first time. IBRD commitments totaled almost $7 billion, while IDA commitments totaled more than $2.3 billion. The IFC made 48 investments amounting to $425 million.
