World Bank Group Timeline

February 25, 1972

World Bank Group Staff Association created

The role of the Staff Association is to champion World Bank Group policies that are beneficial to staff, foster a sense of community among staffmembers, and assist staff with conflict resolution. The Staff Association is established through a Bankwide referendum. James Chaffey is subsequently elected the Staff Association's first chairman.
